The terms governing our transport services
BRIDGEWAY TRANSPORT LTD ("the Operator") is a licensed Private Hire Operator regulated by Transport for London (TfL).
All bookings are accepted and managed by the Operator in accordance with the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998.
2.1 All journeys must be pre-booked through the Operator.
2.2 A legally binding contract is formed between the Operator and the Passenger or Contracting Authority at the point a booking is accepted.
2.3 The Operator is responsible for providing the booked journey and ensuring it is carried out by a TfL licensed private hire driver using a TfL licensed vehicle.
2.4 Drivers are not permitted to accept bookings directly from passengers.
3.1 The Operator provides pre-booked private hire services, including:

4.1 The Operator is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable passengers.
4.2 All drivers engaged by the Operator:

4.4 The Contracting Authority or parent/guardian must provide accurate information regarding medical conditions, behavioural needs, mobility requirements, or risks at the time of booking.
4.5 The Operator reserves the right to review transport arrangements where safety concerns arise.
5.1 All bookings are recorded at the operating centre.
5.2 Booking details are allocated only to appropriately licensed drivers.
5.3 Confirmation of booking details will be provided prior to the journey.
5.4 The Operator may subcontract bookings to another licensed TfL Operator where permitted by law and in accordance with TfL regulations.
6.1 Fares are agreed in advance at the time of booking.
6.2 For local authority or school contracts, fares are governed by the agreed contract terms.

7.1 Payment methods may include bank transfer, card payment or invoice (subject to agreement).
7.2 Local authorities and contracted clients will be invoiced in accordance with agreed payment terms.
7.3 The Operator reserves the right to suspend services in the event of unpaid invoices.
8.1 Cancellations must be made through the Operator.
8.2 Cancellation terms are agreed at the time of booking or governed by contract arrangements.
8.3 Reasonable cancellation charges may apply where applicable.
8.4 In the event the Operator must cancel a booking, reasonable efforts will be made to provide a suitable alternative.
9.1 Passengers must wear seatbelts where required by law.
9.2 The Operator reserves the right to refuse or terminate a journey where behaviour presents a safety risk.
9.3 Parents/guardians remain responsible for ensuring passengers are ready at the agreed pickup time.
9.4 The Operator is not responsible for supervising passengers outside agreed transport duties.
10.1 The Operator will make reasonable efforts to ensure punctuality.
10.2 The Operator shall not be liable for delays caused by traffic congestion, road closures, weather conditions, vehicle breakdowns, or other events beyond reasonable control.
11.1 The Operator complies with UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
11.2 Personal data is processed lawfully, fairly and securely.
11.3 Information may be shared with TfL, local authorities or safeguarding bodies where legally required.
11.4 All booking records are stored securely and retained in accordance with statutory requirements.
12.1 Complaints must be submitted to the Operator via telephone or email.
12.2 All complaints are recorded and investigated.
12.3 Where required, complaints may be reported to TfL or the relevant contracting authority.
13.1 The Operator maintains appropriate motor and public liability insurance.
13.2 The Operator's liability is limited to the value of the booked journey except where otherwise required by law.
13.3 Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
The Operator shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure is caused by events beyond reasonable control.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
